At Nitro, one of our core tenets is ‘Be Good.’ Beyond the workplace application of this concept, we as Nitronauts are encouraged and enabled to perpetuate goodness in our communities through our Nitro Gives program by supporting, volunteering, and donating to help causes we believe in—individually or as a group.

Facilitating the continuous development of Nitronauts is a core component of Nitro’s vision and mission, and our leadership team is passionate about providing us with opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Last month, we shared our beliefs around the importance of taking PTO. By promoting a balanced lifestyle through our company policies, we’ve cultivated a culture that perpetuates happiness, productivity, and incredible dedication among Nitronauts.

This Friday, Ireland will become the first country in the world to vote on the legalization of same-sex marriage. And if Nitro could cast a ballot, we’d be voting Yes.

Growing up with strong female role models, Nitro’s COO Gina O’Reilly never thought twice about how being a woman may affect her professional life. One day, however, while Gina was (wo)manning a booth at a tech trade show to promote her organization, a man asked her if he could speak with someone who actually worked for the company.

Earlier this week, I sat with Brendan Dillon, Director of Engineering, who was fresh from hosting Monday’s packed Spark meetup at Nitro EMEA HQ in Dublin.

We’re high-performance (we always work hard), we believe in ‘no bullsh*t’ (we tell it how it is) and we don’t take ourselves too seriously (we’re not necessarily comedians, but around us, a sense of humor is key). A certain group of us also have a tenacious will to code.
